Materials examined. 3♀♀, Wuzhishan NNR of Hainan, 16–18.IV. 2015, 830 m, leg. Guoxi Xue.
The wing pattern of the female are similar to that of the male, except that the two cell spots are perpendicular to costa, and there is a small triangular pale patch in the lower half of space CuA 2 in opposite to the lower cell spot.
Female genitalia ( Fig. 19 View FIGURE 19 ). Papillae anales reniform in ventral view, covered with long hairs. Lamella postvaginalis V-shaped, two arms short and thick, with round tip. Lamella antevaginalis trident-like, lateral arms very long, distal part bent outward and sharply pointed; middle spine reaches to 3/4 length of lateral arms, much thinner and evenly tapered into a sharp point. Apophyses posteriores very thin, about three times as long as papillae anales. Ductus bursae tube-like, long; bursa copulatrix bursiform, without signum.
Remarks. The female specimens were found near a stream in the tourism area of Wuzhishan ( Fig. 20 View FIGURE 20 ). Wing patterns of these specimens obviously exhibit sexual dimorphism. Based upon the molecular analysis in this study, they were successfully associated with the corresponding males and thus recognized as P. xiaoqingae , which was originally described for the genus Thoressa but transferred to Pedesta by Huang et al. (2019).
