Type: — TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS. Turks Islands : Without locality, no date, Hjalmarson s.n. (holotype GOET009308 View Materials !; isotype K000323253 !) .

Notes: —Grisebach’s protologue of this species lists an unnumbered Hjalmarson specimen as the type of the name. Such a specimen exists at GOET where Grisebach worked and deposited his type specimens ( Stafleu & Cowan 1976), and therefore should be considered the holotype.
