Material examined. 1 male (holotype), Ceylon, Matale ( NHMUK); 1 female, S. India, Tamil Nadu, Nilgiri Hills , S-slopes, 15 km W Kotagiri, 900 m, 11º23′N 76º55′E, 16.iv.1997, leg. Sinjaev & Schintlmeister ( MWM) GoogleMaps .
Distribution: Sri Lanka ( Gaede 1933; Arora 1976; Schoorl 1990), Southern India (new locality).
Flight period: April.
