Diagnosis. Closely related to P. frontalis Brailovsky , the only previously known species of the genus.
In P. nitens sp. nov., the body length is shorter than 13 mm, the anterolateral margins of pronotum are yellow, and the dorsal and ventral surface lack blue metallic reflections. In P. frontalis Brailovsky (2002) the body length is longer than 15 mm, the anterolateral margins of pronotum are black, and the dorsal and ventral surface have blue metallic reflections.
