A new island record collected by S. Alston-Smith (♀, Hololo Mountain Road, May 1981, ♂ May 1982). Kaye (1921) incorrectly listed M. thordesa as a synonym of M. jebus . They are distinct species ( Nicolay 1979) that are both recorded from Trinidad.
