Genus Igerna Kirkaldy, 1903 View in CoL
Igerna Kirkaldy 1903: 13 . Type-species, Pachynus bimaculicollis Stål , by original designation, replacement name for Pachynus Stål 1866 not Rafinesque 1815.
Remarks. Viraktamath (2011) recently gave a revised definition of the genus. Two out of the four Igerna species included here, I. neosa and I. flavocosta , have an asymmetrical aedeagus. Evans (1953) also dealt with Igerna bimaculicollis (Stål) . Examination of the material collected in this project revealed that the specimens previously recorded as I. bimaculicollis were in all likelihood misidentified.
