Distribution: — BOLIVIA: Santa Cruz, Chuquisaca, Tarija. Spiny shrubland and dry forest; 1100–1600 m elev. Endemic.

Representative specimens examined: — BOLIVIA. Santa Cruz: Florida, along road to El Sillar and Los Volcanes leaving main road 1 km E of Bermejo, 1200 m elev., 2 January 2000 (fl), J.R.I. Wood & D.J. Goyder 15762 (K, LPB, USZ). Chuquisaca: Tomina, 8 km N of San Pedro on road to Sopachuy, 1900 m elev., 13 February 1999 (fl, fr), J.R.I. Wood & M. Serrano 14441 (HSB, K, LPB, UBT, USZ). Tarija: O’Connor, Soledad, 15 km SSE of Entre Rios, 1500 m elev., 21°39.368’S, 64°06.589’W, 16 January 2001 (fl), J.R.I. Wood & D.J. Goyder 16800 (K, LPB).
