Distribution: — BOLIVIA: La Paz, Santa Cruz, Chuquisaca. Mostly in degraded dry forest; 900–1800 m elev. Also known from Peru and Ecuador.

Notes: —Our collection [Mathias 5241] represents a new record of this species for Equador.

Representative specimens examined: — EQUADOR. Morona Santiago: Santiago, Zamora, 23 July 1960 (fl, fr), M.E. Mathias & D. Taylor 5241 (F). BOLIVIA. La Paz: Franz Tamayo, 10 km N of Apolo by entry to Madidi National Park, 1550 m elev., 14°38’52”S, 68°24’37”W, 10 April 2002 (fl), J.R.I. Wood & R.M. Harley 18132 (K, LPB). Santa Cruz: Florida, Río Piray valley 10 km below Bermejo, 900 m elev., 3 March 1996 (fl), J.R.I. Wood 10809 (K, LPB, USZ). Chuquisaca: 30 km E of Peunte Azero towards Monteagudo, 1800 m elev., 13 April 1995 (fl), J.R.I. Wood 9680 (K, LPB).
