9. Oxypetalum dombeyanum Decaisne (1844: 583) . Type:— PERU. Dombey s.n. (holotype P!, isotype BM!)

Distribution: — BOLIVIA: La Paz, Santa Cruz, Chuquisaca. Mostly in degraded dry forest; 900–1800 m elev. Also known from Peru and Ecuador.

Notes: —Our collection [Mathias 5241] represents a new record of this species for Equador.
