5. Oxypetalum brachystemma Malme (1904: 2) . Type:— ARGENTINA, Jujuy: near San Lorenzo, November 1893, Schultz in Kurtz Hb. Argent. 8163 [lectotype S, designated by Goyder (2004a: 301)]. ( Figure 1. E )

O. albiflorum Schlechter (1906: 621) . Type:— BOLIVIA. Tarija: O’Connor, Chiquiaca, 1000 m, 6 February 1904, Fiebrig 2699 (holotype B, isotypes BM, E, K, P), non O. albiflorum Decaisne (1844: 587) .

Corollonema boliviense Schlechter (1914: 441) . Type:— BOLIVIA. Chuquisaca: between Macharetí and Buenavista, 800 m, December 1910, Herzog 1180 (holotype B†, isotype L!).

Distribution: — BOLIVIA: La Paz, Santa Cruz, Chuquisaca, Tarija. Margins of degraded dry or moist Tucumano-Boliviano forest; 700–2300 m elev. Also known from northern Argentina and Paraguay.

Representative specimens examined: — BOLIVIA. La Paz: Inquisivi, río al N de Inquisivi subiendo al S de Yungas, 2140 m elev., 16°53.17’S, 67°08.71’W, 14 March 2003 (fl), J.R.I. Wood & T. Ortuño 19355 (K, LPB). Santa Cruz: Cordillera, 20 km S of Camiri on road to Villamontes, 700 m elev., 21 March 2000 (fl), J.R.I. Wood 16085 (K, LPB, USZ). Chuquisaca: Boeto, 4 km below Nuevo Mundo towards Río Grande, 2000 m elev., 17 March 1996 (fl), J.R.I. Wood 10877 (K. LPB). Tarija: Arce, 10-15 km below La Mamora along road to Bermejo, 22°15.911’S, 64°33.408’W, 900 m elev., 14 January 2001 (fl), J.R.I. Wood & D.J. Goyder 16742 (K, LPB).
