Types. Male holotype from Usina Hidrelétrica Engenheiro Sérgio Motta , Primavera (22°28’41.02”S; 52°57’29.24”W), São Paulo, Brazil, I–II.2000, Equipe IBSP GoogleMaps leg., deposited in IBSP 29716 View Materials . Etymology. The specific epithet is a patronymic in memory of Lupercio de Oliveira, the first author’s father.
Diagnosis. Males of Otoniela lupercioi sp. nov. resemble those O. chica sp. nov. by having a robust, subtriangular ventral tegular projection ( Fig. 6C View FIGURE 6 ). They differ by the large base of the ventral tegular projection, smaller retrolateral patellar apophysis and truncated embolar basal apophysis ( Figs 4D, E View FIGURE 4 ; 5G, H View FIGURE 5 ). Narrow base of ventral tegular projection and oblique sperm duct in O. chica sp. nov. ( Figs 6C, E View FIGURE 6 ). Females of Otoniela lupercioi sp. nov. are similar to those of O. chica sp. nov. by the ample epigynal atrium and rounded, large spermathecae ( Figs 5I View FIGURE 5 ; 6F, G View FIGURE 6 ). They differ by the arc-shaped posterior border ( Fig. 4G View FIGURE 4 ). Posterior lateral borders sub-rectangular and a anterior invagination in O. chica sp. nov. ( Figs 6G, H View FIGURE 6 ).
Description. Male (IBSP 29716). Carapace and sternum light brown. Chelicerae reddish brown. Endites and labium yellow. Legs yellowish, slightly darker distally on the tibia and metatarsi.
