Comment: the fossil Reptilia name Rhopalodontidae Seeley, 1894 (type genus Rhopalodon Fischer von Waldheim, 1841) is available, therefore we recomment using the spelling Ropalodont - for the ciid name in order to avoid homonymy problems; incorrect original stem formation, not in prevailing usage.
