Distribution. Native. Nearctic, Neotropical; Galápagos: Española, Pinta, Santa Cruz, Santiago.
Material examined. Galápagos: Pinta : 60 m, 22.iii.1992, ex. G. fortis, R.L. Palma & E.M. Inca (1 ♁, 1 ♀, CNC). Santa Cruz: CDRS , 7.iii.1992, ex. D. petechia, R.L. Palma & E.M. Inca (1 ♁, CNC) . Santiago: Aguacate Camp , 500 m, 8.iv.1992, ex. G. difficilis, R.L. Palma (1 ♁, 1 ♀, CNC) .
Remarks. Adults of this species were found on the following hosts: Asio flammeus (Pontoppidan) , Camarhynchus psittacula Gould , Dendroica petechia (L.), Geospiza magnirostris Gould , G. fortis Gould , G. difficilis Sharpe and Mimus sp.
