Remarks.—Similar in size and appearance to O. hova n. comb. but has infuscation on the distal fore wing veins between apical cells. Body length is about 27 mm, wingspan about 74 mm ( Boulard 2000). The song is a series of short syllables of increasing intensity followed by a period of rapidly produced syllables making a constant call with amplitude modulations about every 15 ms with a peak frequency of about 9 kHz ( Boulard 2000; 2006b).
Distribution.—The species is known only from Madagascar ( Sanborn 2013). The species is only known from the type locality in the surroundings of Ambatolahy, west-central Madagascar ( Boulard 2000).
