Diagnosis. This subspecies can be differentiated from the following subspecies by the shape of the male genitalia. The length and width of whole male genitalia of O. vatama acutula are approximately equal, but the former is distinctly longer than the latter in O. vatama tsina , and the ratio of the length to width of the male genitalia is 15.3: 14 in O. vatama acutula and 13: 9 in O. vatama tsina . In O. vatama acutula , the uncus is narrower. The valva is longer in O. vatama acutula but shorter in O. vatama tsina . In addition, the ventral process of the valva is much larger in O. vatama acutula .

Distribution. China (Guangxi, Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet).
