Diagnosis. Small green moths with almost straight yellow marginal line and fringe; discal spots small, dark in fore wing, white in hind wing; male genitalia with costa reduced to triangular plate reaching mid costa. O. decorata is darker coloured, olive green, both this species and O. cristae sp. n. differ from O. flavilimes in configuration of male and female genitalia. The ground colour of wings of the two associated females agrees with that of O. flavilimes . However, the yellow marginal line is slightly broader on veins of the fore wing, and on the vein CuA1 on the hind wing. Male genitalia (Fig. 38) simpler than in O cristae , without a hook-like process of sacculus.
Description. Wingspan 18–19 mm (Fig. 2). The male antennae are thinly bipectinate, those of female filiform. Wings are green with a straight yellow marginal line and yellow fringe.
Male genitalia (Fig. 38): The valva is split, its costal part is short, fused to mid-valvula as a triangular dorsal projection. The juxta is short, projecting triangularly towards the vinculum, and has lateral connections to valvae.
Female genitalia (Fig. 70): The apophyses anteriores are relatively long, about one-third the length of the apophyses posteriores (usually shorter in related species but longer in the female of O. cristae sp. n. described below). The anal papillae are slender, the sterigma finely and thinly setose at middle, and the last abdominal segment is shorter than wide. The ostium is cup-shaped, slightly folded, the ductus bursae with a sclerotized patch; the corpus bursae is membranous.
Genetic data. Not yet DNA barcoded.
Distribution. Peru (locus typicus: south-eastern Peru: Prov. Puno, Carabaya, Santo Domingo), later on found in the region of upper Amazonas. New country record: Ecuador.
Biology. the specimens were collected in October in tropical lowland forests of the Napo basin.
