The species was described recently but is clearly not a member of Sclerostomus View in CoL . Characters that place this species in Onorelucanus View in CoL include a convex, unarmed pronotum that is rounded laterally (not emarginate before the posterior angles) and the toothed mesotibiae and metatibiae in both sexes.
