Description of Ochrobactrum gallinifaecis BS View in CoL 16
Cells are Gramstainingnegative, nonflagellated, pigmented and rodshaped. Colonies are circular, raised, entire and white colored after 2 days on R2A at 30°C. In API 20NE, positive for nitrate reduction, Dglucose, Larabinose, Dmannose, Dmannitol, N acetylglucosamine and potassium gluconate. Similarly, negative for glucose fermentation, urease, indole production, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, gelatinase, β galactosidase and assimilation of adipic acid, malic acid, Dmaltose, capric acid and trisodium citrate. Strain BS16 (= NIBR BA0000114833) has been isolated from a mushroom compost waste collected from Yesan, Korea.
