Diagnosis: It differs from O. tibialis in the longer antennae with flattened, moderately expanded antennal segments 3–8 and prozona 1.5 times longer than pronotal metazoan. Black spot on inner side of knees of posterior femur. The hind tibial spines are crimson, in O. geniculata , the spines are blue or violet.
Habitats: It is found in grassland, probably graminivorous. It was collected from alfalfa, barley, grasses, millet and mint.

T., 5 ♂, on grass, 12.xi.1992 ; 5 ♂, 22 ♀, on grass, 15.vi.1993; Mahruqah , 1 ♂, on alfalfa, 6.viii.1992 ; Qardah , 1 ♀, on barley, 1 ♀, on alfalfa, 15.xii.1992 ; Qirah , 1 ♂, 1 ♀, on mint, 29.x.1992 ; Ququm , 6 ♀, on alfalfa, millet & mint, 29.x.1992 ; Tmzawah , 1 ♀, on alfalfa, 15.xii.1992 ; Tarut , 1 ♂, 3 ♀, on alfalfa, 6.vii.1993 ; Zahra , 1 ♂, 1 ♀, on dry grass, 15.xii.1992 ; Zalwaz , 1 ♀, on alfalfa, 15.v.1993 .
Localities: Fezzan: Ashkidah, Brack, Mahrugah, Qardah, Qirah, Ququm, Tamzawah, Tarut, Zahra, Zalwaz.
Distribution: Libya: Fezzan.
Remarks: The species was described by smani & Ajaili in 1991 from Al-Shati region of Fezzan. It has wide distribution in this area.
