Winge (1887) reported several bones from Lapa da Escrivânia V, some of unknown origin (two of them probably from Lapa da Lagoa do Sumidouro), and a scapula of recent age [28]. He noted that, of all the medium-sized species of Nothura View in CoL and Crypturellus View in CoL included in his study, there are mostly bones of the shoulder girdle and forelimbs. Given the substantial similarity between the genera, he preferred to leave a large number of hindlimb bones as indeterminate.
