Brief description: —Shrubs 1–1.5 m tall. Leaf petiole 10–30 mm long, blade 12–21 × 3–4 cm, margin entire, venation camptodromous, abaxial surface sparsely hispidulous; capitula discoid, involucre 9–9.5 × 14–14.5 mm, campanulate, phyllaries glabrous; receptacle holopaleaceous, paleae ca. 6 mm long; disc florets 40–60 per capitulum, corolla ca. 6 mm long, pale green to pale yellow; cypselae ca. 2 mm long, sparsely glandular-punctate, pappus 40–50 bristles.

Geographic distribution: —Endemic to Mexico, in Oaxaca state (TEX 417905) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
