Neurolaena ser. Eradiatae Turner (1982: 122
status

2.1. Neurolaena ser. Eradiatae Turner (1982: 122 , as “ Eradiata ”).

Type species:— Neurolaena macrophylla Greenman (1904: 118) ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).

Diagnosis: —Discoid heads and usually longer structures such as involucre 6.7–9 mm long, paleae 5.5–7.4 mm long, disc corolla 6–7.85 mm long, and pappus bristles 3.5–7.6 mm long.

Turner (1982) proposed this series with two subordinated species: N. macrophylla Greenman (1903: 118) and N. venturana Turner (1978: 251) . Based on the ratio palea to disc floret corolla and discoid capitula of N. jannaweissana Turner (1998: 91–92) , we propose it also belongs to N. series Eradiatae .

Geographic distribution: — Guatemala and Mexico, in Chiapas, Oaxaca, and Veracruz states ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ).
