Neurigonella brevifurcata Yang & Saigusa, 2001: 377 . Type locality: China: Shaanxi, Zuoshui. Nepalomyia brevifurcata (Yang & Saigusa) : Runyon & Hurley, 2003: 412.
Diagnosis. First flagellomere wider than long; halter yellow. Epandrium bearing no lateral tubercle; hypandrium slender, with shallow incision; cercus with distinct basal tubercle.
Specimens examined. HOLOTYPE 3, Shaanxi: Zuoshui, Yingpan Linchang (1850 m), 10.VII.1997, Toyohei Saigusa; 2 3, Taiwan: Pingdong, Dahanshan Mountain (1500–1600 m) (22°67' N, 120°48' E), 7.VI.2011, Xiaoyan Liu.
Distribution. Taiwan (Pingdong), Beijing (Xiaolongmen), Henan (Luanchuan), Shaanxi (Zuoshui, Zhouzhi). Remarks. This species is recorded from Taiwan for the first time. See Yang and Saigusa (2001) for description of this species.
