Nepsalus calopterus Navás 1914: 110 View in CoL (type locality: ‘Ost Indien’ = [?astern India]). Synonymized by Stange 1976: 299.
Diagnosis. Vertex with dense corrugated dark brownish markings. Frons with black part concaved anteromedially. Pronotum medially with a black stripe, and laterally with some irregular indistinct brown markings. Legs with some black dots. Forewing poststigmal area generally transparent with some brown markings; radial area with six brownish spots; rhegma present as a dark brown spot; cubital area with an ovoid brown marking and a discontinuous arcuate brown marking. Hindwing rhegma present as a small dark brown spot fused with marking on distal margin.
Type Maoerial. Holotype male, Ind (= INDIA), Saunders ( NHMUK, formerly BMNH).
Addioional Maoerial Examined. 1 female (holotype of Nepsalus calopterus Navás 1914 ), Ost Indien (=?ast INDIA), Felder ( NHMW).
