Material examined. No material could be analyzed. The data given below is based on the literature.
Type locality. Brazil ( Ludwig 1881).
Diagnosis. Tentacles 18, bushy, nine larger and nine smaller. Calcareous ring and posterior processes segment- ed. Tables of body wall have oval disc with large central holes. Color red to brown ( Mondin 1973).
Geographical distribution. Florida, Antilles and Brazil (from Bahia in NE coast) ( Hendler et al. 1995). It can be found down to 3 m deep ( Hendler et al. 1995).
Remarks. According to Hendler et al. (1995) the color is red in live individuals and it could differs N. parvum from other species of Dendrochirotida from the West Atlantic Ocean. This species has external features similar to Stolus cognatus , but N. parvum has only tables in body wall.
