Leg tarsi with three claws. Other morphological traits correspond to generic diagnosis.

Statement of monophyly: Non-monophyletic, forming multiple independent lineages on tree ( Fig. 1 )—see Note 4.4 in Taxonomic notes section

Distribution: Cosmopolitan (except Antarctic region)

Known species: 155 species—see Note 5.5 in Taxonomic notes section.
