Etymology. Named after Alexey Diakonoff (1907‒1989), a famous entomologist who substantially contributed to taxonomy of so-called ‘microlepidoptera’ ( van Helsdingen & van Nieukerken 1989) and, in particular, described the species for which a replacement name is suggested.
