Diagnosis. MALE. Gena with large sparse punctures; clypeus basomedially elevated forming basal and subbasal denticles, and with a pair of subapical weak tubercles. Dense recumbent pale setae on dorsum of pronotum short, mixed with sparse long erect pale setae; lateral face of pronotum posteriorly transversely puncto-striate; scutellum and metascutellum with long erect pale golden setae; ventral tubercle on mesopleuron laterally at most flattened; propodeum with basomedial elongate to semicircular cell and with large semicircular cell laterally to median one. Metasomal segments 1–3 yellowish red. FEMALE. Frons with sparse golden to black recumbent setae; frons and vertex with dense but separated punctures. T2 with apical narrow band of pale golden to golden setae, medially widened triangularly; T6 with thickened lateral pygidial fringe of pale golden setae; pygidial area rugoso-striate basally, unsculptured on apical 1/6–1/5.

Confirmed distribution. Taiwan.
Other localities in the literature. All the distributional records are confirmed in this study.
Synonymic notes. Smicromyrme ilanica Tsuneki, 1972 was described from Taiwan and subsequently transferred to Mickelomyrme by Lelej (1995a). Although the original description of this species did not include essential information to place it in Nemka rather than Mickelomyrme , judging from type photos provided by “Integrated insect types database of Taiwanese species” (http://twinsecttype.nmns.edu.tw/, accessed 7 May 2019), this species is a junior synonym of N. wotani .
Tsuneki (1972c) listed 11 males of Sm. orientalis taiwanensis ( Mickel, 1933) (currently N. taiwanensis ) collected in Taiwan, of which two were mentioned as having apical three segments black (like true N. taiwanensis ) and remaining nine as having apical four segments black. The former specimens were examined in the present study and actually belonged to N. wotani . The male of N. wotani differs from N. taiwanensis by the presence of basal and subbasal denticles and a pair of subapical tubercles ( Lelej 1995a). The remaining nine males with the four apical black segments belong to unknown species of Mickelomyrme ( Lelej 1995a) .
Tsuneki (1993a) described N. chihpenchia as having “propodeum without enclosed area”. This feature was included in Lelej’s (1995a) key to separate the male of N. chihpenchia from that of N. wotani . However, the holotype of N. chihpenchia has a basomedial semicircular cell and a similar cell laterally to it. No other differences were found. Therefore, this species is synonymized under N. wotani here.
