Features: Length 91–110 μm, width 18–20 μm, striae 6–7 in 10 μm.

Description: Valves lanceolate to weakly rhombic with apiculate apices. Raphe branches straight, ending centrally in simple pores. Axial area narrow, central area rounded to irregular. The coarse transapical striae are slightly radiate at the center becoming parallel toward the apices.

Remarks: A large species with strong and coarse lineolate striae.

Ecology and Distribution: A widely distributed marine species. Not reported previously from the Gulf. Frequent in Basra corals.
