Natarsia tokunagai (Fittkau)

Natarsia tokunagai ( Fittkau, 1962: 114) (as Macropelopia ); Kobayashi and Niitsuma (1998: 133–134).

Krenopelopia kurobefasciata Sasa et Okazawa, 1992a: 63 –64, Fig. 23 . [Holotype 233: 091.] Syn. nov.

Zavrelimyia inawaquerea Sasa, Kitami et Suzuki, 2000: 22 –23, Fig. 21 a–k. [Holotype 387: 013.] Syn. nov.

The following characteristics of the holotypes of Krenopelopia kurobefasciata and Zavrelimyia inawaquerea show that they do not belong in Krenopelopia Fittkau or in Zavrelimyia Fittkau , but in the genus Natarsia Fittkau : costal extension well developed (short in Krenopelopia ; absent in Zavrelimyia ); fore tibial spur with main tooth half as long as spur length and with 8–9 lateral teeth (with main tooth slender, two-thirds of spur length and with 3–4 lateral teeth in Krenopelopia ( Fig. 4 ); semilyrate in Zavrelimyia ); fore tibial comb present (absent in Krenopelopia and Zavrelimyia ); tergite IX without posterior row of transverse setae (with row of setae in Krenopelopia and Zavrelimyia ).

The holotypes of both K. kurobefasciata and Z. inawaquerea have a dark spot around RM ( Fig. 3 ) and abdominal tergites I–VII with a narrow anterior dark band. Both thus are junior synonyms of Natarsia tokunagai (Fittkau) .
