Host and locality in Australia: Attached to Ancistrona sp. ( Diptera : Hippoboscidae ) on Puffinus assimilis tunneyi, Eclipse Island, WA; attached to Ancistrona sp. ( Diptera : Hippoboscidae ) on Pachyptila forsteri, Scarborough, WA ( Fain 1965a) ; Pachyptila vittata , Puffinus assimilis , Western Australia ( Domrow 1992).
Current name of host: Broad-billed Prion, Pachyptila vittata (Forster, 1777) ; Little Shearwater, Puffinus assimilis Gould, 1838 ( Procellariiformes : Procellariidae ).
