Body length: male: 4.0– 4.2 mm, female: 4.5–4.8 mm.

Female genitalia. Sternite VII is about 2.7 times as wide as long, with nearly straight anterior margin, posterior margin slightly concave, Central M-shaped protuberance slightly higher than lateral ones ( Fig. 33 View FIGURES 33–42 ). Dorsal surface of Valvula I with scaly sculpturing occupying approximately distal 1/2 ( Figs. 35, 36 View FIGURES 33–42 ). Valvula II with prominent teeth, occupying about distal 1/3 ( Figs. 37, 38 View FIGURES 33–42 ).

Distribution. China (Guangxi, Guizhou, Sichuan, Hunan, Fujian).
Host Plant. Cephalostachyum pergracile Munro , Bambusa emeiensis Chia & Fung , Dendrocalamus latiflorus Munro.
Note. This species moved to the Mukariella based on the following characteristics: (1) crown with flattened anterior margin in lateral view; (2) forewings basal and middle leathery, tips membranous and slightly transparent; (3) aedeagus single-branched, subterminal abruptly thinned and curved outward in a hook-like shape, one gonopore.
