Basionym: Omphalodes cardiophylla A.Gray ex Hemsl., Biol. View in CoL cent.-amer., Bot. 2 (1882: 377).

Holotype:— MEXICO. Coahuila: Mountains near Saltillo , July 1880, E. Palmer 894 ( K00478231 !, isotypes GH00219329 !, NDG42383 About NDG !, NY00335603 !, US00110900!).

Note: The holotype was annotated in 2005 by R. R. Mill as “ Mimophytum cardiophyllum ”, but the name has never been published.

Holotype:— MEXICO. Nuevo León: Sierra Madre near Monterrey , 22June1888, C. G.Pringle2220 ( GH00219327 !, isotype VT026104 !).
