Type material. Holotype ♂ (Mime-0129- HNU): China, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region: Nanning City , Shanglin County, Damingshan National Nature Reserve , 23°28.07'N, 108°30.49'E, 810 m, 8.XI.2018, Ailan He, Keke Liu, Jihe Liu, Jinxin Liu and Zongguang Huang leg. GoogleMaps ; Paratype: 1♀ (Mime-0128- HNU), same data as holo- type GoogleMaps .

Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin adjective “dentatus”, in reference to the dentate subtegular apophysis.

Diagnosis. The males of M. dentatus n. sp. differ from those of all other Mimetus species by the beak-shaped subtegular apophysis with dentiform projections and by the digitiform cymbial apex ( Figs 11F–H View FIGURE 11 , 14B–D View FIGURE 14 ). The females of M. dentatus n. sp. differ from those of M. subulatus n. sp. and M. niveosignatus n. sp. by having the medial spermathecal chambers separated from each other ( Figs 13B–D View FIGURE 13 , 15B View FIGURE 15 ).

Description. Male (Holotype). Habitus as in Fig. 11A View FIGURE 11 . Total length 2.02. Carapace 0.90 long, 0.75 wide. Opisthosoma 0.96 long, 1.01 wide. Sternum 0.51 long and 0.47 wide. Labium wider than long. Clypeus height 0.10. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.09, ALE 0.07, PME 0.07, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.05, ALE–AME 0.05, PME–PME 0.03, PME–PLE 0.05. MOA 0.07 long, anterior width 0.04, posterior width 0.03. Leg measurements in Table 4.

Cephalothorax ( Fig. 11A–C View FIGURE 11 ): Carapace yellowish, long oval, widest at coxae II and III; with a large deep yellow pattern (both lateral margins of pattern are wavelike lines) between ocular area and fovea, with three longitudinal rows of setae; a pair of brown patches on the lateral margins of carapace near Coxa I; fovea inconspicuous. Sternum yellowish. Labium yellow. Chelicerae ( Fig. 15C, D View FIGURE 15 ) deep yellow, with six promarginal peg teeth and two retromarginal teeth. Endites deep yellow, longer than wide. Leg color similar to carapace, with irregular dark brown blotches.

Abdomen ( Fig. 11A, C, D View FIGURE 11 ): Grey, nearly tetrahedral, as long as wide, especially wide in the medial region, covered with many whitish patches, a few dark brown patches and many short setae dorsally.

Pedipalp ( Figs 11E–H View FIGURE 11 , 14A–D View FIGURE 14 ): Tibia long and thin, approximately twice as long as cymbium, covered with some macrosetae, slightly swollen distally; cymbium subtriangular, with many especially long setae dorsally, apically digitiform. Paracymbium broad and triangular, with a translucent base. Subtegular apophysis extremely developed, beak-shaped, denticulate. Conductor sclerotized area complex, whorled and rolled up, forming several apophyses including one protecting the apical end of embolus. Conductor membranous area with pilose cuticular projections. Embolus tubular, strongly curved around the membranous area of conductor and forming ca. 3/4 circle, proximally swollen.

Female (Paratype, Mime-0128-HNU). Similar to male in general features, deeper coloration than male ( Fig. 12A View FIGURE 12 ). Total length 2.11. Carapace 0.92 long, 0.83 wide. Opisthosoma 1.10 long, 1.33 wide. Sternum 0.55 long and 0.44 wide. Labium wider than long. Clypeus height 0.11. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.09, ALE 0.08, PME 0.09, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.04, ALE–AME 0.04, PME–PME 0.03, PME–PLE 0.05. MOA 0.10 long, anterior width 0.04, posterior width 0.03. Leg measurements see Table 5.

Cephalothorax ( Fig. 12A–C View FIGURE 12 ): Carapace yellowish, with a broad yellow-brown pattern medially. Sternum yellowish. Labium brown. Chelicerae ( Fig. 15E, F View FIGURE 15 ) brown, with six promarginal peg teeth and two retromarginal teeth.

Abdomen ( Fig. 12A, B View FIGURE 12 ): Light brown, but brown patches darker than male.

Epigynum ( Figs 13A–D View FIGURE 13 , 15A, B View FIGURE 15 ): atrium small, arc-shaped. Basal plate squared, twice as wide as long, with straight posterior margin. Copulatory openings and copulatory ducts not to be seen. Medial spermathecal chamber pair separated from each other ca. 0.7 times a medial spermathecal diameter, and lateral spermathecal chambers broadly connected to medial chambers. Fertilization ducts small.
