1a. Shrubs or subshrubs, rarely annual herbs; lower leaves 2-, 3- or rarely multisect into linear to filiform lobes; nectar glands confluent, median glands present; ovules 20–90 per ovary; fruits linear, subterete or slightly latiseptate ..........................................
