Microgramma latevagans (Maxon & C.Chr.) Lellinger, Amer. Fern J. View in CoL 74(2): 59. 1984.
= Polypodium latevagans Maxon & C.Chr., Proc. Biol. Soc. View in CoL Washington 52: 120. 1939.
Range: —Northern Peru to Bolivia (CO, LP, SC).
Ecology: —Locally fairly common; epiphytic and rarely saxicolous in evergreen, semihumid forests, usually in somewhat rain-shadowed valleys close to the transition to dry valleys; 2300–3050 m.
Notes: —Most easily confused with Adetogramma chrysolepis , which has free veins and sori with peltate, pedicellate, lanceolate paraphyses (vs. anastomosing veins and linear, hairlike paraphyses in M. latevagans ). Microgramma latevagans grows at generally higher elevations than any other Microgramma in Bolivia.
