Distribution. China (Shaanxi).
Remarks. This species could be distinguished from its congeners by: 1) body large sized, dark colored; 2) temple quite dilated; 3) basal three antennomeres with both reddish apexes and bases; 4) densely-distributed small, rounded punctures on anterior 2/3 part of dorsal surface of head; 5) admedian row of pronotum consisting of 7–8 punctures; lateral row, curvedly arranged, of 8–9 punctures; 6) each side of elytra possessing 5–6 row of punctures; 7) interspaces between punctures on abdomen ca. 3–4 punctures’ diameter; 8) median lobe of aedeagus egg-like, with short parameres; 9) inner sac dark colored, overlapped at base 1/3, broad, without distinct large spines. Although it is similar to M. montanicus (Bordoni) , we could find the following differences: the less punctate head, smaller punctures on pronotum, fewer puncture rows on elytra, as well as inner sac morphology.
