Abbreviated description: Cp strongly elongated, dorsal margin nearly straight in males, ventral margin slightly sinuous, dorsal and ventral margins almost parallel. RV widely overlapping LV antero- and posteroventrally where valves are gaping. In dorsal view, Cp narrow, with nearly parallel lateral sides. External valve surface reticulated.

Measurements: length of female = 441–459 µm; length of male = 458 µm.

Locality: Mbamba Bay , Malawi at 7–10 m depth (23/3/1999) .
