FIGURES. 93–99. Macropsis lijiangensis sp. nov. 93—male pygofer and subgenital plate, lateral view; 94—aedeagus, lateral view; 95—same, ventral view; 96—style, dorsal view; 97—connective, dorsal view; 98—same, lateral view; 99—2nd valvulae of ovipositor.
Pygofer broad, caudal margin distinctly concave, pygofer processes spine-like, straight, with two setae in basal part (Fig. 93). Subgenital plates slender, with parallel margins (Fig. 93). Aedeagal shaft in side view broad, nearly parallel-margined, tip widely rounded, gonopore oval, subapical (Figs. 94–95). Styles slender, with tips distinctly expanded (Fig. 96). Connective stout, with finger-like protrusion in middle, both lateral arms bend to dorsum (Figs. 97–98).
7th sternite in female relatively small, triangular, along midline as long as 6th one, without a notch on posterior margin. Ovipositor strongly projecting beyond pygofer, 2nd valvulae with 3–4 additional teeth each (Fig. 99).
Body length (including tegmina): 3, 4.2 mm; Ƥ, 4.5–4.8 mm.
Host. Unknown.
Distribution. China (Yunnan prov.).
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to M. sohii Viraktamath, 1980 in coloration, but can be distinguished from the latter one by the subapical gonopore is situated almost in the middle of a distal half of aedeagal shaft, by the head is narrower than pronotum and more stout body.
Etymology. The new species name derives from the name of type locality, Lijiang.
