Diagnosis. L. albistria ( Figs. 19, 20 View FIGURES 17 – 24 ) is similar to the L. flaviplaga species group in wing coloration and ground plan of wing pattern, but differs by the less strongly expressed pattern, absence of yellow patch between antemedial and subterminal lines, and the smaller but more conspicuous white bar mark dorsally on postmedian line. Wingspan 27–28 mm. Male genitalia ( Fig. 38 View FIGURES 33 – 39 ) characterized by narrow elongate valva with unexpressed costa and longitudinal position of clasper-harpe complex, which is long, extending almost to apex of valva; juxta wide at bottom with a ventral prominence, bearing a caudally projected long process at middle. Most conspicuous character is the structure of sacculus, with long and stout asymmetrical saccular projection (left segment slender and bent near tip). Aedeagus slightly curved; vesica with a row of short and stout cornuti near base. In female genitalia ( Fig. 48 View FIGURES 40 – 49 ) ovipositor wide, papillae anales quadrangular; apophyses anteriores two times shorter than posterior ones; antrum wide, sclerotised, shallow; ductus bursae short, sclerotised; bursa copulatrix elongate, heavily sclerotised in caudal part, with wide sclerotised cervix, membranous in proximal part, without signum.
Distribution and biology. ( Fig. 58 View FIGURES 58 – 62 ). Central Nepal. Adults have been collected in March (1, 22.iii), April (2, 12.iv), June (11.vi) 1990 and 1992 (type series), July and late August (ZSM material) at elevations of 1200–1800 m, at Mt. Pulchouki near Godavari village, vicinity of Kathmandu. Probably bivoltine, moths occuring in hillside broadleaved forest. The larvae and foodplants are unknown.
