TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Bohemia … in Italia centrale [ Bohemia (= Czech Republic) … central Italy]”.
TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♂, lectotype (double-mounted: fastened by a micro pin to a polyethylene foam block on a standard insect pin, abdomen detached and stored in glycerine in a small plastic tube pinned below specimen) ( MZUF: Box 36): Limosina Macq. / nana n. / 1928 / Lectotypus Limosina nana Rond. , ♂, J. Roháček des., 1979.

PARALECTOTYPES NOT EXAMINED: 1 ♂ (partially moldy, missing head, double-mounted: fastened by a micro pin to a polyethylene foam block on a standard insect pin), 1 ♀ (double-mounted: fastened by a micro pin to a polyethylene foam block on a standard insect pin) (MZUF: Box 36): Limosina Macq. / nana n. / 1928; 1 ♀ (covered with mold) (MZUF: Box 36): Limosina Macq. / nana n. / 1928 / hirtula Rond., Dr. Villeneuve det.
CURRENT STATUS: valid species ( Papp, 1984d: 100); valid species, as Spelobia nana View in CoL ( Roháček 1983: 89, Canzoneri et al. 1995: 24, Roháček et al. 2001a: 261, Marshall et al. 2011: 278).
REMARKS: Rondani (1880: 26) described Limosina nana without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens and not giving a range of length: “ Exemplaria nonnulla misit Car. Kowartz, … bis tantum a me lecta [Mr. Kowartz sent some specimens … collected by me only twice]”. Roháček (1983: 89) designated a lectotype (♂) and paralectotypes (2 ♀♀). He did not consider a MUZF male as paralectotype because it belongs to a different species and did not mention an additional male and two females (all are paralectotypes) in the MZUF numbered “1928”.
