Additional description. Forewing length: male 2.6–3.2 mm (mean = 2.9, n= 23), female 2.8–3.1 mm (mean = 3.0, n= 6). Colour stramineous; an orange-red mark in front of antennae; anterior part of mesonotum with lateral orange marks; these coloured marks may be faint in some specimens. Forewings clouded with faint to medium dark infuscation, darker marks on first subcostal sector and at the forks of R-Rs1 and M-Ms4. Male genitalia very similar to those of Levu samoensis Muir.
Etymology. The species name is a Latin adjective ( lactineus , -a, -um = milky coloured).
Type material. Holotype ♂ (forewing 2.9 mm), PALAU ISL., labels: 1) KOROR I./ Palau Islands / 18. Nov.1947 2) Pacific Sci. Board / Ent. Surv. of Micronesia / H.S. Dybas leg. 3) Levu / pallescens/ lactinea/ Fenn. ( USNM #62163 About USNM ).

Distribution. Palau Islands.
Diagnosis. Levu lactineus shows great similarities to L. samoensis Muir from Samoa and differs from that species only by the orange marks on the genae and the mesonotum.
