Larsmentia Bamber & Marshall, 2015 View in CoL
This monotypic genus was established by Bamber & Marshall (op.cit.) for the female of Leptochelia elongata Larsen & Rayment, 2002 (male being unknown), and was considered to belong to the Catenariinae . However, independently Guţu (2016: 101) moved Leptochelia elongata to the new genus Alloleptochelia . On the evidence of the (somewhat sparse) description and illustrations of L. elongata given by Larsen & Rayment (2002), it differs from the other Alloleptochelia species at least in the setation of cheliped merus (which has only two setae), carpus (without dorsal setules) and fixed finger (with only four setae), the lack of distodorsal spine of antenna third article, etc.
Until new material (including the male) of L. elongata is obtained and examined, this species should retain its revised generic nomen as Larsmentia elongata ( Larsen & Rayment, 2002) .
