Material. HOLOTYPE m (mp) labelled`314; LAMPROTATUS globosus n. sp. V. Delucchi det.; Dizygomyza verbasci Bch. V. Delucchi leg.; TYPE [red]’.
Remarks. Delucchi described the female and stated` Type in meiner Sammlung.’ but did not specify the number of specimens he had. One slide (sc) labelled`20; L. globosus n. sp. antenna DIS.’ with right female antenna and one slide (sc) labelled`3; TELEPSOGOS [black underlined] globosus [red underlined] ala m; L. globosus n. sp. ala DIS. [pasted over by former label]’ with left fore wing of an unknown female. It is doubtful whether these were used for the original description but the fore wing has been illustrated later ( Delucchi, 1955a: 40, ®gure 44).
No further material was available. The status of the species needs reconsideration.
