Rimularia applanata Kantvilas & Coppins View in CoL , in Coppins & Kantvilas (2001: 36).
Type:— AUSTRALIA. Tasmania, Anthony Road , 41°49’S 145°38’E, on Anopterus glandulosus in rainforest, alt. 500 m, 1 May 1993, G GoogleMaps . Kantvilas 247/93 (holotype − HO!; isotype − E!) .
Endemic to Tasmania where it is an occasional epiphyte on shaded, smooth bark in rainforest. This species is clearly closely related to L. globulispora , L. umbratilis and the newly described L. plumbea (see Table 1 View TABLE 1 ). A full description is provided by Coppins & Kantvilas (2001).
