FIGURE 6. K. hammondi sp. nov. A, mesosoma, lateral view; B, detail of fore wing showing completely setose distal part of subbasal cell; C, 1st metasomal tergite; D, metasomal tergites 2–3.

Holotype ♀, Papua-New-Guinea, Province Madang, Wanang 3 Station (-5.22767,145.0797) 175m, 17-18/11/2012, leg Gewa, Damag, Novotny, Leponce, Plot 4, understorey; Malaise—MAL-WAN-D-02/16-d02.

Body length (corrected) 7 mm, fore wing length 6 mm and exserted length of ovipositor approximately 3 mm.

Antenna incomplete but with at least 46 flagellomeres. Median flagellomeres 3 longer than wide. Intertentorial distance 3 x tentorio-ocular distance. Width of face 0.35 x width of head and 0.57 x height of eye. Frons with strong ridges running between stemmaticum and antennal sockets. Transverse diameter of posterior ocellus 2 x distance between posterior ocelli, and 1.4 x shortest distance between posterior ocellus and eye. Occipital carina evenly rounded. Mesosoma 1.9 x longer than high. Mesoscutum rugose medio-posteriorly. Mesopleuron shiny with many quite deep puncures a the bases f setae, especially close to precoxal sulcus. Precoxal sulcus deep, more or less parallel-sided, strongly crenulate and extending virtually whole length of mesopleuron. Propodeum with short mid-longitudinal carina anteriorly bordered by largely smooth area, otherwise rugose. Fore wing vein 1CUb 2 x 1CUa. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell without glabrous zone. Fore wing vein 3RSa 1.25 vein r-rs. Fore wing vein 2RS 1 x vein r-rs. Fore wing vein 3RSb 3.25 x vein 3RSa. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.35 x 1 Ma+1Mb. Tergum of 1st tergite 1.95 x longer than posteriorly wide. 2nd + 3rd tergites 2 x longer than maximally wide.
