Junnanotrechus exophtalmus Deuve, 1998 View in CoL .
( Fig. 42 View FIGURE 42 )
Junnanotrechus microps exophtalmus Deuve, 1998: 139 View in CoL , fig. 1 (type locality: “ Chine, Yunnan, Jizu Shan”). Junnanotrechus exophtalmus Deuve, 2011: 70 View in CoL , fig. 7 (“ Chine, Yunnan, Jizu Shan, 2622 mètres, 25°59´17´´ N – 100°20´17´´ E, V. Grebennikov leg.”).
The species was originally described by Th. Deuve (1998) as a subspecies of J. microps View in CoL based on the only female specimen. However, the additional material with male specimens allowed this author to raise the taxonomic status of this taxon to the specific level.
We have no specimens of this taxon but, accordiung to the descriptions made by Th. Deuve, this species is easily distinguished from allied species by its more gracile habitus, smaller size, more pedunculate eyes and slender median lobe of the aedeagus ( Fig. 42 View FIGURE 42 ).
Distribution. The species is known only from the type locality situated in the Jizu Shan Mountain Range NE of the Erhai Lake.
