Diagnosis. Greenish yellow, robust leafhoppers with round spots on fore margin of crown, basal triangles on mesonotum and one small round spot anterad of scutoscutellar suture, black. Male pygofer with well-developed dorsal apodemes on anterior margin, anal collar process broadly hook-like and ventral pygofer processes well-developed.Aedeagus with one pair of short subapical processes each with basal short spur, and with ventral marginal ridge in basal half. Other characters as in generic diagnosis.

Material examined. HOLOTYPE ♂, INDIA: Karnataka: Jog Falls , 17.xi.1976, C.A. Viraktamath Coll. ( UASB). Other material: 5 ♂, 16 ♀, Kodaymalai nr Bantwal, 15.i.1984, S. Viraktamath ( UASB).

Remarks. Viraktamath (979a) adequately described the species based on specimens collected from Jog Falls. Gnaneswaran (2021) reported this species from Ibbagamuwa, Sri Lanka on the plant Murraya paniculata (L.) Jacq. ( Rutaceae ).
