Etymology. The species name is a noun in apposition, derived from the type locality.
Diagnosis. This new species resembles Jacaena mihun ( Deeleman-Reinhold, 2001) , but can be easily distinguished by: (1) the long and circular embolus (vs narrower and shorter); (2) the thin base of the embolus (vs wider than all other species); (3) the simple coiled and folding copulatory duct (vs complex).
Description. Male (Holotype). Total body length 4.88: carapace 2.45 long, 1.95 wide; abdomen 2.43 long, 1.55 wide. Carapace black brown, darker in eye area; radial granulated integument on carapace; cephalic area relatively broad; fovea deep and round. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.15, ALE 0.15, PME 0.10, PLE 0.13; AME–AME 0.18, AME–ALE 0.13, PME–PME 0.20, PME–PLE 0.20, ALE–PLE 0.20; MOA 0.25 long, anterior width 0.18, posterior width 0.23. Clypeal height 0.15, equal to the diameter of AME. Labium longer than wide, tip cambered and with several setae. Leg spination: femur I with 2 strong pl spines, other femora spineless; femur I with 2 strong pl spines ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ), other femora spineless; tibia I with 7 pv and 8 rv spines, tibia II with 6 pv and 6 rv spines, tibia III with 2 pl and 1 rv spines, tibia IV with 3 pv and 2 rv spines, and 1 rl spine; metatarsus I with 5 pairs spines ventrally, metatarsus II with 4 pairs spines ventrally, metatarsus III with 1 pl, 1 rl and 1 pair ventral spines, metatarsus IV with 1 pl, 1 rl and 2 pairs ventral spines. Leg I 6.81 (1.28+0.85+1.95+1.80+0.93); Leg II 6.03 (1.68+0.69+1.29+1.45+0.9 2); Leg III 3.19 (0.59+0.56+0.69+0.92+0.43); Leg IV 7.32 (1.52+0.96+1.91+1.95+0.98). Leg formula: 4123. Other characters as same as J. aspera sp. n., except color.
Abdomen ovoid and gray, with small distinct dorsal scutum (occupying less than half the length of the abdomen), wrinkled at both sides.
Palp as illustrated ( Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 D–F). Tibia short, red-brown, RTA with two processes, sclerotized dorsal and membranous ventral surface; dRTA wide, pRTA small. Color of tegulum same as tibia, reniform, with distinct sperm duct and spiral and cuspidal tegular apophysis. Embolus long, with thin base, strongly coiled, tip along with tegular apophysis. Conductor membranous, behind embolus.
Female. One female paratype total body length 5.83: carapace 2.90 long, 2.30 wide; abdomen 2.93 long, 1.93 wide. Carapace black brown, with metallic lustre, darker in eye area; radial granulate integument on carapace; cephalic area relatively broad; fovea deep and round. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.16, ALE 0.15, PME 0.12, PLE 0.14; AME–AME 0.25, AME–ALE 0.18, PME–PME 0.26, PME–PLE 0.30, ALE–PLE 0.20; MOA 0.25 long, anterior width 0.18, posterior width 0.23. Clypeal height 0.16, equal to the diameter of AME. Leg spination: tibia I with 7 pv and 8 rv spines, tibia II with 8 pv and 9 rv spines, tibia III with 1 pl and 2 rv spines, tibia IV with 1pv and 4 rv spines; metatarsus I with 4 pairs spines ventrally, metatarsus II with 4 pairs spines ventrally, metatarsus III with 1 pl, 1pv and 1 rv spines, metatarsus IV with 3pv and 3 rv spines. Leg I 7.49 (1.90+0.95+2.30+1.35 +0.99); Leg II 7.03 (1.80+0.90+1.80+1.49+1.04); Leg III 6.38 (1.71+0.81+1.35+1.48+1.03); Leg IV 9.00 (2.30+0.90+2.16+2.43+ 1.21). Leg formula: 4123. Other characters same as male .
Abdomen ovoid, without dorsal scutum, brownish gray, with two pairs of muscular impressions centrally. Venter of abdomen light brown.
Epigynum as in Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 A–C. Epigynal plate sclerotized, two copulatory openings concave and oval, located at center of epigynal plate. Copulatory ducts long and coiled; fertilization ducts short. Spermathecae large, separated into two parts.
