Insulestremia amenti View in CoL sp. n.

( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 )

Diagnosis. Male Terminalia ( Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ) with convex ventral emargination above basal half of gonocoxites. Gonocoxal apodeme extending beyond parameral apodemes, with short and wide dorsal transverse bridge near the base of gonocoxites. Gonostyli with lobes approximate in length, with two-thirds length of gonocoxites; posterior lobe cylindrical, slightly swollen and rounded apically and bearing up to five short megasetae surrounded by strong, long setae, slightly bent inwards; medial lobe shorter and thinner than main lobe, with small, fingernail-like tooth. Tegmen two times longer than width of base, truncate at apex; apical portion bent dorsally, with lateral borders extending beyond main body. Ejaculatory apodeme long, thin, entirely sclerotized, with apex slightly broader and protruding little beyond tegmen apex.

Description. Male. Body length: 1.58–1.67 mm. Wing length: 1.16–1.32 mm; wing width: 0.5–0.6 mm. Eye bridge 4–5 facets long. Pattern of tergal plaques: 0/2/1/1/1/1/1/0. Flagellomere 4 with three short, flattened sensilla at the apical third, distributed as two at ventral surface and one at dorsal surface; sensilla with length no more than twice base width; flagellomere 3 ( Fig. 2B View FIGURE 2 ) with one flattened, two pointed sensillum arising from a very large pore.

Terminalia. Tergite 9 as a wide, short plate with anterior edge sharply contoured. Cerci markedly tapered toward apex, extending up to the apex of tegmen.

Immature stages and female. Unknown.
