Material examined. 1♂, 17HSS227, pup. 21.i.2018, em. 31.i.2018 (gen. slide 219/19, O. Bidzilya); 1♂, LepsocAfrica CRG, Staude et al. (2016), SM 393b, Gelechiidae reared on Searsia crenata , Anacardiaceae, Robberg Nature Reserve, South Africa, Western Cape, Plettenberg Bay 34˚06’10’’S, 23˚23’32’’E, 26.v.2014 eclosed (S. Mecenero) (gen. slide 122/19, O. Bidzilya) ( HSS); 1♂, Beacon Bay, East London, Eastern Cape, from larva ex Allophylus , em. 7.x.1982 (N.L. Duke) ( TMSA).
Biology. The larvae were observed feeding on Searsia crenata (Anacardiaceae) in January and May. Adults emerged 31.i and 26.v. One male ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 12–16 ) was bred from Allophylus sp. ( Sapindaceae ) in early October ( Staude et al. 2020: 297 as unidentified species 17HSS227).
